Tips to Choosing the Right Tattoo Studio
Most people think that the hardest part about getting a tattoo is deciding what to get. It is true that this is hard – but it isn’t the hardest. There are dozens of tattoo parlors in most cities and trying to narrow the search down to one can be difficult. You want to make sure that the tattoo parlor is clean, has a good reputation, and will get the job done right. So how do you get such a place? Here is a checklist to make things easier.
If your friends have tattoos asked them where they had it done and whether or not they would recommend them. Go to those places and take a look around to see what the place and the people are like. While you are there you should:
- Ask for their certification
- Check the instruments they use. Do they open up brand new needles for each person?
- Make sure that the artist is wearing gloves.
- Make sure that all of the equipment that is being used throughout the process is clean and sterile.
- The needles should be disposed of when finished with each person.
- Each color of ink should come from a separate bottle and be poured into a small cup for each new person.
- View other tattoos that they have done to see if you like their work.
Visiting one tattoo parlor is not quite enough. To make sure that you are getting best go around to three or four different places. Not only do you want the equipment they are using to be clean – but also the whole parlor. It doesn’t do any good if the whole place is a mess.
You should never choose a place that likes to take clients fast and quick. Those who rush through the job or more likely to make mistakes. If they quote you a longer time then it takes then that means they care about the quality and getting it done right. Also some artists will let their clients leave when they feel sick.
